Theo’s Lemonade Stand

6 year-old Theo explained that, usually, he spends his time outside. “I really like running around on the playground. That’s how I get as fast as I can get. I also play hockey with my dad and baseball.” But one afternoon in April, Theo did something a little different: he held a lemonade stand to benefit women and girls in Ukraine. He said his motivation for the lemonade stand was, “In Ukraine, women and girls are getting flighted and it’s mean.”

Denise's College Club Fundraiser

Denise’s College Club Fundraiser

Denise is the president and founder of Girls’ Power Association (GPA), a student club at Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, CA. GPA’s mission is to empower women and girls by advocating for their rights, safety, and wellbeing. Denise wanted to support women and girls in Ukraine, because, “These civilian women and girls are innocent… We were concerned about the many women and girls who are suffering from the war in Ukraine and wanted to support them.” We helped Denise create a donation page that she could share with her peers in support of her fundraiser.
Denise raised enough to send more than 150 dignity kits, which contain everything a woman or girl needs to manage her period, to Ukraine. Amazing work, Denise!
