Rachel Svetanoff serves as the Leadership Giving Discovery Manager where she leads on building a pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and stewarding new donors to strengthen fundraising strategies advancing UNFPA’s mission. Rachel’s background in global health has immersed her in cross-sector social impact where she has fostered strategic partnerships with leading philanthropic funders through consulting roles with UNICEF USA, Sesame Workshop, and The Global Fight Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Prior to consulting, Rachel worked at Johnson & Johnson and Eli Lilly and Company. Notably at Johnson & Johnson, she led CaringCrowd, a charitable giving platform that funded nonprofits improving health outcomes.

An award-winning activist for advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Rachel founded the youth advocacy organization Global Futurist Initiative™️ and the community development consortium Project Energy for Life Cameroon. In recognition of these efforts, Rachel held with the IMF, UN Association of the USA, and U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. Most recently, she served as a Visiting Associate at the University of Notre Dame’s Pulte Institute for Global Development, conducting policy research on the SDGs.

Rachel received her BS in Chemistry and MBA from Purdue University and her MS in Global Health from the Notre Dame. She has been recognized as a distinguished alumna from both institutions.
