Mary Kate Chaath
Director of Leadership Giving
Mary Kate Chaath serves as the Director of Leadership Giving for USA for UNFPA, where she spearheads leadership giving, board philanthropy, high-level prospecting, and donor experience. With more than 15 years of experience in the non-profit fundraising sector, Mary Kate has successfully built numerous fundraising programs that have realized significant revenue growth year over year. Prior to joining USA for UNFPA, she worked with esteemed organizations such as the Malala Fund, the Smithsonian Institution, UNICEF USA, and Anera, where she secured funds to create measurable shifts towards equity for underserved communities. Her career has taken her around the globe, including field experience in Qatar and Gaza.

 

Mary Kate studied International Studies at American University and Arabic and Palestine Studies at Birzeit University. She is also a graduate of the Princeton University AlumniCorps Emerging Leaders program, a reflection of her commitment to supporting and mentoring early-career leaders. Currently residing in Washington, D.C., Mary Kate enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, hiking, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Her passion for travel and exploration is fueled by a love for discovering new places through art and design.
