Anu has more than 15 years of experience raising funds and building partnerships for UN agencies and restructuring UN national committees. More recently, Anu was the Senior Private Sector Partnerships Officer at UNHCR. During her nine years at UNHCR, she successfully established partnerships, built fundraising programs, and led teams across the Americas region to mobilize resources from the private sector in support of refugees. Previously, Anu worked at UNICEF Canada, where she developed the individual giving fundraising programs, and significantly increased revenue, and number of donors to the organization.
Anu has a BA in Economics and International Relations from Beloit College and a Master of Public Administration and Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois. After completing her graduate studies, Anu also worked as an independent consultant, supporting several local non-profit organizations on a variety of projects.
Anu is a passionate advocate for gender equality, reproductive health and rights, and women’s empowerment.
