In crisis zones like Gaza, Ukraine, and Yemen, time is running out for pregnant women and newborns. Nearly all U.S. government funding for women and girls has been terminated and any waivers for “lifesaving interventions” and humanitarian relief have been canceled.

This decision will force thousands of health clinics to close. Women in crisis zones will be forced to give birth without medicines, midwives or equipment, putting their lives and their babies’ lives in jeopardy. In totality, this will have a catastrophic impact on women and girls around the world and on the safety, strength, and security of America here at home.
